  2. How We Offer Our Services

Our experienced Mediation services are professional, caring, respectful. As a result, the services are delivered with consideration to all parties. All ADRAMS services are conducted in a timely manner ( according to Family Court requirements)  to people affected by separation or divorce.

  2. Zoom Meetings Australia wide and overseas for FIO and other workers.
  3. Teleconferencing  and video conferencing
  4. Metropolitan  and Reginal areas via Zoom

2.  We are a Child and Family Focused Practice.

a)  We also strongly support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse  Communities. (CALD)

b) We also strongly support Mediation to Indigenous and 1st Nation people and communities.

3. Arrangements

Arrangements include those for children after you separate/ uncouple and include:

a) Parenting Plan for your children as to planned access for both parties to your children

c) Child maintenance payments (though our Legal referrals)

d) Finances (for example, what to do with your house, savings, other assets and debts) – Referrals to Financial Counsellor

e) Property and Financial Mediation – to assist parties move forward, distribute their assets and liabilities.

f) Arrangements for your children keeping in touch with their grandparents, step families, or in-laws.

g) Safety Plans for your Safety and Wellbeing.

 4. Little or No Wait Times

Principal Mediator Jo-Anne,  can usually book an Initial consultation to determine suitability of your matter.

  • An appointment can be made for your Pre-Mediation Appointments within 24- 48 hours subject to being appropriate, and availability.
  • This means a much shorter waiting time until your Appointment for Intake and Assessment
5. Bookings:
  1. Mediation Bookings with your former partner, upon availability and being appropriate
  2. Appointments can be within 7-14 days after payment of your invoice, for your initial Intake and Assessment Pre-Mediation session.
  3. If both parties are prepared to commit to Mediation, we have little WAIT list to move forward according to Availability and Appropriate, and Safety being a priority for both parties.
6. Exemptions

Exemptions for Mediation do apply where Safety is an issue, and therefore not appropriate. (For example, Domestic Violence, Court Orders for Family Violence and other Risk matters/ issues).  In this case, an Exemption s60i certificate is issued by the FDRP. (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner)

7. FIFO WORKERS

    Are you  a FIFO Worker and require Family Mediation ?

No problems. We can do.

    a) Appointments

  • Flexible to accommodate those with specific requirements such as a FIFO roster.

    b) Mediation

  • Conducted in person or via telephone or video conferencing technology Monday- Friday and weekends
  • We utilise advanced technologies such as Skype, and ZOOM in locations throughout Australia and overseas. No worries!

8. Confidentiality According to the Privacy Act 1988
  • The Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) is the principal piece of Australian legislation protecting the handling of personal information about individuals. This includes the collection, use, storage and disclosure of personal information in the federal public sector and in the private sector.

Everything you say in front of an FDR ( Family Dispute Resolution ) Practitioner is confidential.

  • There are some exceptions, that include preventing a threat to someone’s life/ children, health or the commission of a crime.
  • Information shared during FDR (Mediation) cannot be used as evidence in court.
  • An FDR Practitioner must report child abuse or anything that indicates a child is at risk of abuse, and this may be used as evidence in some circumstances.
9.  Online Mediation

We offer Experienced Mediation via ‘Online FDR Mediation’ for your ease and comfort.

  1. Safe, Simple, Easy and less stress.
  2. No meeting Face to Face with your former partner
  3. No travelling to your Mediation appointment
  4. Initial Consultation and Pre-Mediation Appointment can be done on line.
  5. Both parties can also Mediate online in the comfort of their own home and environment without having to travel, and without meeting Face to Face.
  6. Online Mediation gives you the added options of Evening and Weekend appointments as a possibility
  7. Less Costs for you, associated with on line Mediation
