How much does mediation cost?
Intake, Risk assessment and Pre Mediation sessions :
$1500 per person
Includes phone calls, emails, document preparation with printed copies provided.
Appointments can be online via video chat or in person at an ADRAMS office near you.
The mediation process:
- Initial intake – 2 hours meeting to assess parties and children involved, current arrangements and risk assessments.
- Safety and Risk Assessment – 2 hours meeting to assess safety of the parties and children involved, current arrangements and risk assessments – discovery and viewing of any FVRO/ VRO/ Conduct Order Agreement/ Undertaking in place/ pending.
- Pre Mediation – up to 5 hours working with you to outline your desired Parenting, Financial or Property Plan.
- This plan is then brought and presented to the other party in a joint mediation session. This document can be the basis of any parenting plan or other arrangements presented to a Family Court.
- There is NO sharing of any documents with the other party by the Mediator.
- Where one party does not engage in the mediation process, a Section 60i Certificate A (Section 66H – DeFacto) may be issued to the party who engaged at no extra cost.
- NOTE: in property matters a letter is issued to show the other party chose not to engage.
MEDIATION SESSION:
$450 per person
Includes:
- A joint Mediation session between both parties.
- Mediation room and facilities hire for up to 5 hours.
- Writing of any Parenting Plan Agreement or Property Heads of Agreement.
- Copies of agreements will be emailed to both parties after the mediation session.
- Joint same room session or shuttle / separate rooms available.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations regardless of when cancelled, will incur an Administration fee that will be deducted off the cancelling party’s refund. Please ask for our Cancellation Policy.
